Gift Policy

Contributions of library materials are an essential component of the library’s collection development program and are welcomed at any time.

If you would like to make a donation to the University Libraries, please contact either Rob Tench, Acquisitions & Preservation Services Librarian, at 683-4144 or Debra Bell, Preservation Coordinator, at 683-4152

All donated materials will be evaluated for transfer to the Library’s collections.

Materials not accepted for inclusion in the collection will either be discarded or put in the Library’s Annual Book Sale. Proceeds from the Book Sale go to the Library Student Achievement Award Fund.

Materials in poor condition, duplicates of existing materials, and titles not of academic library quality or interest will not be transferred to the Library’s collection. Teacher or student edition or workbooks may be discarded.

We cannot provide a list of gifts or place a value on the donation. However, the donor may provide an unvalued, itemized list which can be acknowledged.
