A wide variety of periodical materials are available on the Internet. Some have corresponding print versions, while others are published in electronic form only. Periodical indexes are also available, although many are subscription-based with user limitations.

Art Abstracts (FirstSearch)

Contains more than 250 key international, English-language arts publications. Includes periodicals, yearbooks, museum bulletins, competition and award notices, exhibition listings, interviews, film reviews, and more. Indexing from September 1984 to the present. Abstracts from Spring 1994. Updated monthly.

Arts & Humanities Citation Index (FirstSearch)

Covers over 1.4 million records referencing more than 1300 of the world's leading arts and humanities journals. 1980 to the present. Updated weekly.

WorldCat (FirstSearch)

Covers over 35 million records of any type of material catalogued by OCLC member libraries. Includes manuscripts written as early as the 11th century. Updated daily.

Expanded Academic Index (InfoTrac)

Provides indexing and abstracting of approximately 1500 scholarly and general interest titles from 1994 to the present, with access to a backfile of material from 1980-1993. Full text and/or full image is available for over 600 titles. The Expanded Academic Index makes available citations from such art and architecture journals as Architecture, Architectural Review, Art Bulletin, Art in America, Art Journal, Artforum, and Progressive Architecture. Full text availability for these arts-related titles are in effect from 1994.

Books In Print (InfoTrac)

Offers access to information about books by author, title, subject and ISBN, both in and out of print, including publisher information.
