Extended hours for finals!!

OPEN 24 HOURS* through Friday, December 14!!!
*University ID required after Circulation closes (Sun-Thurs midnight; Fri Nov. 30, 7:30pm; Sat Dec.1, 6pm; Fri Dec. 7 and Sat Dec. 8, open until 9:30pm)
We close at 7:30pm Friday December 14 and will be closed through the weekend for commencement.

Spotlight on Scholarship: Physics
November 16th, 2012For the fall 2012 semester, the old Dominion University Libraries will shine a spotlight on the research of the Department of Physics. Their research programs are diverse and include theoretical and experimental work in nuclear and particle physics, atomic, molecular and optical physics, materials science, solid state physics, plasma physics, accelerator physics, and geophysics. Old Dominion University physicists work in labs on and around the Norfolk campus in addition to the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility (TJNAF) and the NASA Langley Research Center on the peninsula.
An exhibit in the Learning Commons @ Perry Library from November 5 through December 14 will feature statements of current research as well as selected journal articles and books.
At a reception on Thursday, November 15 from 3:00-5:00pm in the Learning Commons Conference Room, Room 1310, faculty will discuss some of their recent work. EndNote Workshop: Wednesday 11/14
November 4th, 2012Using EndNote with Library Databases!
On Wednesday, November 14, from 10:00 - 11:15 am, come to the Learning Commons Instruction Room 1306 to learn how to collect citations from the library’s databases and export them into EndNote, a powerful tool for organizing and managing bibliographic citations. If you bring your own laptop, we ask that you already have EndNote downloaded. Instructions and information available from the Tutorials & How-Tos link on the library web site.
