Minecraft Learning Commons

May 9th, 2011This is a friendly reminder that books and other items on loan from the University Libraries over the Spring Semester are due on May 20, 2011. These materials must be physically returned to the Libraries for check-in or for renewal.

Shifting books in Perry Library
January 5th, 2011Beginning this week, Perry Library will be moving all books with call numbers starting with L from the west side of the third floor to the east side of the fourth floor.
The L call number covers books related to education as well as ODU's theses and dissertations from all subjects (LD4331).
The shifting process is expected to take approximately three weeks. If you have trouble locating a book, ask for help at the circulation desk, located at the front of the second floor.

Printing from 3rd floor computers
November 8th, 2010If you are using computers in the 3rd floor Research Commons, you can now print to the 2nd floor computer lab printers using your student account. The benefit: 2nd floor computers are $.05/page; 3rd floor are $.10/page. Instructions are posted on all workstations.
Library book sale this week
October 18th, 2010The library's Annual Used Booksale will be held Wednesday 11/3 through Thursday 11/4 from 9am - 7pm. A special Friends of the Libraries preview sale will be held on Tuesday 11/2 from 5-8pm. The book sale will be held on the 4th floor, rear of the Perry Library.
Note: We are accepting donations of books, magazines, DVDs and CDs at the 2nd floor Circulation Desk.

IOP Tribute to Nobel Physics Winners
October 3rd, 2010The 2010 Nobel Prize® for Physics has been awarded to Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov for their "groundbreaking experiments regarding the two-dimensional material graphene."
