Try WorldCat Local

Try searching multiple databases simultaneously through the Old Dominion University Libraries trial of WorldCat Local!

WorldCat Local offers:

A single, powerful interface for searching all resources in our collection including physical and electronic books and journals, digital media, special collections, digital collections, digital objects and more.

  • No more jumping between multiple systems to search different kinds of materials.

A customized search at multiple levels - local, group, and global - all at the same time

  • Local Search - Results from our library are elevated in the search results to the top of the list
  • Group Search - Results from participating library systems would display in search results following those for our library.
  • Global Search - Results from WorldCat libraries throughout Virginia, across the country, and around the world would display in order of proximity after all local and group results have displayed.

Research and Social Networking tools

  • Use the 'Cite this item' feature to easily format citations according to popular style manuals that include APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA and Turabian.
  • Share opinions and expertise with other users through reviews, ratings, lists, and additional evaluative content.
