Ask-a-Librarian

The Ask-a-Librarian service is intended primarily for the students, faculty and staff of Old Dominion University. For non-affiliated patrons, we can assist if your question concerns the ODU Libraries or some unique resource offered by the ODU Libraries. For non-affiliated general reference questions we recommend your local public library. All patrons, please be aware we cannot give legal, medical, financial, or tax advice.

Brief, factual or procedural questions will be responded to as quickly as possible by library reference staff. For questions requiring extended library research or instruction we encourage you to arrange a research consultation with one of our subject specialists.
