Electronic discussion groups

  • OFFCAMP, Off-campus Library Services List at  http://listserv.utk.edu   Click on "Online Mailing List Archives." Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click on the link that says "Unlisted Archive Form." You will move to a page that asks for the name of the list you want. In the box, you can type "offcamp" (no quotes) and click on "Go."
  • Distlib-L (Distance Learning Interest Group, Canadian Library Association)  Send an e-mail message to majordomo@bolt.lakeheadu.ca In the body of the message type: subscribe distlib-l
  • NCLIB4DIST-L  A "solutions-based forum" for all North Carolina librarians and others interested in these issues.  Send an e-mail message to listproc@uncg.edu   In the body of the message type: subscribe nclibs4dist-l [your name]

Conferences/workshops

Other conferences, such as LOEX, ASIS, EDUCAUSE, and Campus Technology, often devote all or part of their sessions to topics relevant to distance education.
