Images
| Depending on your topic, images can help clarify a point or illustrate
a concept. If your topic involves art, images may be essential.
Images are available from some library databases. ARTstor is a digital library of approximately 700,000 images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences. AP Images is a database of images from the Associated Press (news) library which could be especially useful if your topic involves current events.
Of course, various websites (including commercial and government sites) will contain images. Keep in mind that copyright and other restrictions may apply when it comes to using images, and it is a user's responsibility to know what permissions or restrictions apply. While you're at ODU, you can use images from ARTstor and AP Images without permission as long as they are used for course projects. |
