Limiting
Keep in mind that Limit options will vary by database.
In most databases, you will be able to limit your search to publication type, which allows you to focus your results on academic journals, for example.
PsycINFO includes: Age Group, Population Group, Document Type, Methodology, etc. In the example above, you would use "Limit your results" (on the lower left) to see the possible criteria for limiting your results.
In other databases, "Geography" can be a useful way to limit, depending on your topic.
TIP: Don't limit to Full Text!!
Many of the library databases, like PsycINFO, contain the full-text of many articles. For some of your search results, though, you won't see a full text or pdf link next to the article you want.
This does not necessarily mean that you don't have access to the article -- you just may not have access to it through that particular database. You may have to access it through another electronic source. You can often find the full-text in another database, or you can request it through interlibrary loan.
