Citation does not only apply to the printed word. If you include an image or video in your paper, your powerpoint presentation, or on a Web site, you must acknowledge the source through a citation.

In fact, in many cases, you will need to get permission from the creator to use it. Always read the copyright permission statements before you use an image or other media item.

Don't assume that because it's on the Web, you can use it without permission or citation.
