What is Article Linker?

Article Linker connects you to full-text journal articles available through the Old Dominion University Libraries. Article Linker is a "link resolver," a service that uses information from journal databases to connect you to full-text articles.

How does Article Linker work?

Say you are searching a database (for example, PsycINFO or InfoTrac Onefile) and you find a citation to a journal article that you would like to read. The citation includes the article title, journal title, publication date, volume and page numbers. When you click on either the Article Linker icon, which looks like this: or the "Check for Full Text" link, Article Linker uses the journal citation information to locate the full text of the article in the Old Dominion University Libraries collection.

What am I seeing on the search results screen?

Depending on whether the Old Dominion University Libraries subscribe to the journal you're looking for, you could see:

Why isn't there a link to an online copy of the article I want?

Databases can help you identify citations to articles you need, but in some cases the Old Dominion University Libraries do not subscribe to the electronic version of the cited journal.
