The Elise N. Hofheimer Art Library is a circulating, open-stack branch of the Old Dominion University Libraries. The Art Library contains over 10,000 volumes on architecture, sculpture, drawing, painting, print media, photography, arts & crafts, in addition to an art reference section. The Library also actively collaborates with the Baron and Ellin Gordon Art Gallery in supporting innovative research in Folk and Outsider Art. The Library features current periodical subscriptions, as well as a current display of new art books.
The Art Library collection is developed through funding from the ODU Libraries’ materials budget and Hofheimer Endowed Funds. Donations play a significant role in expanding the Hofheimer Art Library collections. For information about making a donation, please contact the Acquisitions & Preservation Services Librarian at 757-683-4144.
