Only a small part of Perry Library's government publications are in the library catalog. To identify other government publications, search the Catalog of Government Publications (CGP) from the U. S. Government Printing Office.This catalog includes documents created from 1976-forward. Many of the documents are available electronically.

Use the Journals, Magazines and Newspapers webpage. Search on the Journal Title, not the Article Title. Remember to check the date of the article, since databases may cover different years of the journal. Look for the graphic or the words "Check for full-text." If the full-text is not available, use Interlibrary loan to request it.

- Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) and World News Connection contain full text translations of political speeches, television programs, radio broadcasts, newspaper articles, periodicals, and books from around the world.
- Factiva - Provides current and retrospective news stories, periodical articles, and company and industry financial data covering virtually every subject category. International coverage includes sources in 20 languages.
