Company Information:

  1. Business & Company Resource Center

Business & Company Resource Center is very useful for finding a variety of company and industry information, including financial information and journal articles. From the main search screen, type a company's name or ticker symbol in the top search box. Then click the green "Search" button. You'll be taken to a list of all companies that meet your search criteria. This may include a parent company and its subsidiaries. Click the company name that matches the company for which you want information. The first screen you'll see has general corporate information, including contact information, key personnel, and basic financial statistics. The tabs at the top of the screen will take you to a great deal of additional information, including newspaper and magazine articles, detailed financial information, and investment reports (if available).

  2. Factiva

Factiva is an excellent source for company information. Use the "Companies/Markets" tab to find a company's key competitors, top management personnel, financial data, as well as relevant newspaper, business and trade journal articles. You can also use Factiva to find web pages and reports devoted to your company.

  3. Thomson ONE Banker

Thomson Banker replaces the Compact Disclosure and Worldscope Global databases. It provides detailed financial information, including historical data and forecasts, for U.S. and international public companies. Search for companies by name or ticker symbol, and use the tabs across the top to view different kinds of information. Thomson Banker only allows a maximum of 5 users at a time, so please click the "logout" link in the upper right when you're finished.

  4. Morningstar Library Edition

Morningstar is primarily a tool for finding information about investing in stocks and mutual funds. You can look at the "Analyst Research" report for a given company for an assessment of the company's threats and opportunities. Use the "Reports" search box to look up your company by name or ticker. Morningstar only allows a maximum of 3 users at a time, so please click the "end session" link in the upper right when you're finished.

Directory of Corporate Affiliations of Major Corporations - HG 4057 .A219

  6. Company web pages
