- Music Index Online (1976-present): Covers more than 775 international music periodicals from over 20 countries, and also indexes feature music articles from a broad range of subjects, book reviews, record reviews, first performances and obituaries.
- RILM Abstracts of Music Literature (1967-present): ) Largest, continuously updated bibliography of music literature providing broad international coverage including records in over 100 languages from thousands of journals, books, dissertations, conference proceedings, Festschriften, and more. There is no better single source for exploring the world of music, from Western and Eastern classical to pop, folk, and jazz.This file is produced by the Rèpertoire International de Littèrature Musicale. Updated Quarterly. NOTE: ONLY ONE USER AT A TIME is authorized to use database.
- ERIC (1966-present): Provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. ERIC provides full text of digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from educational and education-related journals.
- Education Full Text (1983-present): Indexes and abstracts articles of at least one column in length from English-language education periodicals and yearbooks published in the United States and elsewhere. English-language books relating to education published in 1995 or later are also indexed. Full-text coverage begins in January 1996.
- JSTOR: A retrospective full text database includes a number of journals in music such as Music Educators Journal and Journal of Research in Music Education. Only older issues are indexed and not the current year.
- Project Muse: Provides fulltext of articles from journal titles in the humanities, arts, and social sciences, with full searching capabilities. Project Muse is provided by Johns Hopkins University Press.
- CAIRSS For Music: A database of music research literature in music education, music psychology, music therapy, and music medicine. CAIRSS is provided by University of Texas at San Antonio's Institute For Music Research.
- Directory of Open Access Journals: This directory covers 27 journals in music as a free, full-text resource for scholarly journals in all subject areas.
- Dissertations and Theses Full-Text (1861-present): Contains many full-text doctoral dissertations and master's theses. Also indexes dissertations and theses back to 1861.
- Selected Resources for Music This Subject Guide contains links to a few key indexes in music plus significant online resources, primary sources, and reference works.
- Grove's Music Online: Comprises the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz. Contains illustrations and musical examples, including sound examples, and links to related sites.
