Import Filters are the files used by EndNote to transfer information you downloaded from an online database. Connection files allow you to search and import references from online databases. New filters you may wish to download are:

  • In EndNote X3, filters for Cambridge Scientific Abstracts databases are missing. Here are some filters for popular CSA databases: ASFA, Criminal Justice Abstracts, LLBA, PAIS International, Sociological Abstracts
    • Right-click on one of the links above, and select "Save Target As..."
    • Copy the file to the appropriate folder in your EndNote program directory (usually C:\Program Files\EndNote\Filters).
  • To get the filter for your particular CSA database, go to EndNote's filters page and "Accept the terms of use." Find the desired filter, and right-click on the [Download] button at right and continue with instructions above.
  • Connection File for ODU Library Catalog
