To Install APA 6th edition for EndNote X3
- Go to http://endnote.com/support/enapa6thstyle.asp
- Click Download the APA 6th style package.
- Click “Accept”
- Select OPEN in the File Download box.
- Then, EXTRACT ALL FILES.
- Double-click on the new APA 6th Style; it will open with the EndNote program.
- Click File-> Save As. When the Save window opens, note the file name. If the word COPY is appended to the end, please remove copy so the style is named APA 6th. Click Save.
- Click the File menu and choose Close Style.
To complete installation:
- In EndNote, go to Edit / "Output Styles" and click on Open Style Manager.
- Find APA 6th and place a check next to it.
- Close the Style Manager window.
- Next, update the Reference Type Matrix:
- Edit->Preferences
- Select "Reference Types" on left.
- Click "Import".
- Find "APA6th_RefTypes.xml" file and select it.
- Click Open, then, OK.
