cademic Research

STARquest is a set of two tutorials that will help you achieve success as you do research. You may use STARquest independently or in conjunction with a course. The sections are designed to be viewed sequentially but may also be used independently to meet specific research needs. 

If you are using STARquest as class assignment, please follow the sections in sequence. After completing both STARquest I and STARquest II your instructor will receive notification that you have completed the tutorials and how well you did on the quizzes. Please follow all instructions carefully. 

STARquest I: Library Services& Resources

STARquest I focuses on assisting you in using library services and resources. Instruction will be provided on how to develop a research idea, types of information sources, how to locate books and journals, how to use indexes, etc.

STARquest II: Internet Searching Tips

STARquest II provides instruction on using the internet for research purposes. Topics such as locating information on the web, which search tools to use, developing effective search strategies, evaluating search results, etc., will be covered.
