Librarians use a method of critical analysis to determine the value of a particular book or journal title that is added to the library collection. Unfortunately, the explosion of Web pages on any topic allows anyone with unknown qualifications to become authors. It is estimated that more than ten million people in the world create material for the Web and that Web content doubles about every eight months. |
