Evaluate Sources

Be sure your sources are valid. Obviously, an article you might see in The National Enquirer will differ vastly from an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Be aware of important, though more subtle, differences between other publications. Determine the journal's reputation, find out about the author's qualifications, look for bias in the evidence or gaps in the information presented.  The same applies to World-Wide Web sites on the Internet.
