In the books, use subject or score index to locate tests by topic.
(2) Where can I find a test about "...." to actually use in a study?
Answer: Depending on the research method you plan to use in your study, you can check:
- Directory of Unpublished Experimental Measures
- Tests in Microfiche
- ETS Test Collection
- a subject appropriate database (e.g. psychology, education, health) to find the name
of a test and, hopefully, the full-text
- the library catalog for a book that might include a particular type of test
(3) Where can I find information about a specific test by name?
- Check the ERIC Test Database to see whether a review and test data are included in a standard
test reference source.
- If your test is not in one of the standard test sources, go to a periodical database that would likely
include research articles that might use your test. Search by keywords from the title of your test.
(4) Where can I get the test called "....?"
- Where did you hear about this test? Any information you have already may help us help you find it.
- If you don't know if it is a commercially published test or not, you first have to determine the its status.
If it is published, you most likely will have to contact the publisher and order a sample test.
- If it is not a published test, you would check for it through periodical databases for location information.
