Hofheimer Art Library Supervisor

Job Description
This position is responsible for managing the library services, operations, programs and collections of the Hofheimer Art Library. The position provides quality customer service in all circulation, reserve, reference and instructional activity; and effectively supervises student assistants.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in arts and humanities field from an accredited higher education institution or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Demonstrated knowledge of art. Considerable work experience in a library public services unit. Excellent interpersonal communication skills; customer service skills; problem solving skills; critical thinking skills; organizational skills. Familiarity with mobile telecommunications/computing and Web 2.0 applications. Demonstrated commitment to continued learning. Experience in working and learning on an independent basis. Experience in using online research databases. Demonstrated MS Office applications experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of library systems, services and organization. Web design skills. Experience in planning and mounting exhibits. Experience in planning and managing events. Supervisory experience.
Conditions of Employment
Some evenings and weekends may be required.

Annual Salary/Hourly Rate
Minimum: $32,000.
