==>  LIBRARY HOURS:  EXAM WEEK AND HOLIDAYS

Library hours for the remainder of exam week are:
   * Monday, December 12 - Thursday, December 15:  8am - 2am
   * Friday, December 16 - Saturday, December 17 -- open regular hours
During the extended hours, the first floor, circulation services, and
reference resources will be available for patron use until the building
closes.  Reference Desk, Microforms, and Interlibrary Loan will close as
scheduled.  The upper floors and retrieval of materials will not be
available from midnight-2am.

Public Safety will be available to provide escort service during all
extended hours.

Library hours for the holidays will be as follows:
  Sunday, December 18:  CLOSED (Commencement)
  Monday, December 19 - Thursday, December 22:  8am-5pm
  Friday, December 23 - Monday, December 26:  CLOSED
  Tuesday, December 27 - Wednesday, December 28:  9am-6pm (limited staffing)
  Thursday, December 29 - Monday, January 2:  CLOSED
  Tuesday, January 3 - Friday, January 6:  8am-5pm
  Saturday, January 7:  Regular Hours Resume
  Monday, January 16:  CLOSED (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day)

Branch libraries and certain library units will have different hours and/or
limited services. Please call ahead for information: 683-4154.  For

==>  BOOK ORDERS DUE 12/15

Note to library liaisons:  Half of your book allocation should be spent by
December 15.  Contact your department representative or Pamela Morgan,
Collection Development Officer, pmorgan@odu.edu if you need assistance.
Department representatives are listed as "Subject Bibliographers" on the
"Services for Faculty" page of the library's Web
site.

==>  LIBRARY CARPETING PROJECT:  12/16-1/27/2006

Perry Library is continuing its carpet replacement project. New carpet will
be installed on the 4th floor, beginning December 16, 2005. We anticipate
completion by January 27, 2006. During that time the 4th floor will be
inaccessible for faculty, staff and students. Library staff will retrieve
needed materials; please check with the Circulation staff at the front
desk. Study areas and collections on 3rd, 2nd, and 1st floors will continue
to be available. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your
patience.
