It is provided through the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) and is one of the many Thomson Gale databases. It contains "peer-reviewed, full-text articles from the world's leading journals and reference sources. With extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects, Academic OneFile is both authoritative and comprehensive." Of the 9,000 journals indexed, 7,000 are peer-reviewed, and over 50% of the articles are full-text. Also included is full-text coverage of the New York Times back to 1995. Access Academic OneFile from the library's "Databases" page by title or subject. Because it is an VIVA product, IP address restrictions apply: from home, you'll need to enter your Campus UIN at the Easy Proxy page. ----------------------------------------------------------------- ==> FACULTY WORKSHOP TOMORROW, OCTOBER 11: "WHO'S CITING YOU?"
