The theme this year is: Tradition and the Individual Voice. To promote the festival, the library has mounted an exhibit in the lobby of the Perry Library, featuring books by festival authors. Feel free to sit and read the books, or check them out. Be sure to attend one of the many events, and support the festival. -------------------------- ==> MERGENT ONLINE TRIAL The Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) is considering a new business product. Through the month of October, Mergent Online will be on trial. Mergent Online provides information about public companies (American and international) as well as industry reports. JCR is a comprehensive and unique resource tool for journal evaluation, using citation data drawn from over 7,500 journals from over 3,300 publishers in over 60 nations. It includes virtually all specialties in the areas of science, technology, and the social sciences. Moreover, it shows the relationship between citing and cited journals in a clear, easy-to-use framework. Registration is not required but is helpful to us in planning. It will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 31 and end Saturday, Nov. 3.
