| David
Milofsky
David Milofsky, in his novel Playing From Memory, takes a frightening and dour subject—death by cancer and creates a genuinely moving story unmarred by sentimentality. He has written a second novel, Eternal People, as well as short stories, essays, and articles. The National Public Radio project Earplay aired his profile of Isaac Bashevis Singer. He has been a fiction scholar at Bread Loaf, and currentiy directs the writing program at University of Denver, where he edits Denver Quarterly. Mr. Milofsky will read at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, in the Newport News Room, Webb Center. [extracted from 1987 brochure] |
