M. Evelina Galang, "World Voice" festival director, teaches creative writing at Old Dominion University. Her stories and essays have appeared in magazines such as American Short Fiction, Mid American Review, The Crescent Review, Amerasia Journal, Riksha, Special Edition Press, and New Voices. Her nonfiction essay, "Mix Like Stir Fry," won an AWP Intro Award in nonfiction during 1994 and is forthcoming in Quarterly West.
