Anthony Hecht has taught at various colleges and is now at the University of Rochester. He was a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome and has been a Guggenheim Fellow twice. His works include A Summoning of Stones, The Seven Deadly Sins: Poems, The Hard Hours, Millions of Strange Shadows, and the translation Seven Against Thebes. In 1968 he received the Pulitzer Prize.
