BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
ASSOCIATED WRITING PROGRAMS

THE ASSOCIATED WRITING PROGRAMS is an organization of individual teachers, writers, students, and educational institutions committed to writing, the teaching of writing, and serving the general literary community. AWP sponsors and develops projects which (1) encourage publication and otherwise benefit individual writers and readers; and (2) serve graduate and undergraduate programs in writing as well as other institutions concerned with literary education. At present the AWP provides a placement service and a consultant service. Its publications include INTRO, AWP Series for Contemporary Poetry, AWP Award Series in Short Fiction, a newsletter, AWP Catalogue of Writing Programs, and various other types of service publications. The headquarters of AWP is at ODU and the members of the Board of Directors meet annually in Norfolk. The Board members have graciously agreed to participate in the Arts Reunion.
