POYER, MILLER FEATURED TODAY AT LITERARY FESTIVAL

The 1999 Old Dominion University Literary Festival, titled "The Spirit of the Word," is Oct. 11-15 and includes appearances by former U.S. Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner Rita Dove.

Today, readings include:
11 a.m., David Poyer, Chesapeake/Portsmouth/Virginia Beach Room, Webb University Center;
2 p.m., E. Ethelbert Miller. Cape Charles/Isle of Wight Room, Webb University Center.

At 8 p.m., the MFA Faculty Reading will focus on Luisa Igloria, Tim Seibles, Janet Peery, Sheri Reynolds and Michael Pearson.

The events are sponsored by the Norfolk Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
