Shelly Wagner's
first collection, The Andrew Poems, was written four years after her youngest son drowned. Since its publication, her work has been anthologized in literature textbooks such as Writing About Literature and Approaching Poetry. Her work also has been used in psychology textbooks such as Death & Dying, Life & Living. Her poems have appeared in such journals as Poetry East, American Poetry Review and Triquarterly.
