Gregory H. Williams Gregory H. Williams is president of The City College of New York. His publications include the memoir, Life on the Color Line: The True Story of a White Boy Who Discovered He Was Black, which was named Book of the Year by the Los Angeles Times in 1995. As a result of his autobiography, Dr. Williams has been featured on a number of national programs, including Larry King Live, Nightline with Ted Koppel, Oprah and Dateline NBC with Tom Brokaw. He was named the first recipient of the National Bar Association's A. Leon Higginbotham, Jr. Award for Outstanding Contributions of the Preservation of Human and Civil Rights. Dr. Williams has authored articles and book reviews for The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post. [extracted from 2002 brochure] |
