Sheri Reynolds is an associate professor
and the Ruth and Perry Morgan Chair of Southern Literature at ODU. Her
published novels include Bitterroot Landing, The Rapture
of Canaan (an Oprah book club selection and New York Times bestseller)
and A Gracious Plenty. Her play Orabelle’s Wheelbarrow
won the 2005 Women Playwrights’ Initiative playwriting competition.
Her fourth novel, The Firefly Cloak, is scheduled to be released
in 2006.
