William Matthews teaches at the University of Washington. He founded Lillabulero Press and its poetry magazine, Lillabulero. In addition to a book of translations, he has published eight volumes of poetry: "Broken Syllables," "Ruining the New Road," "The Cloud," "Sleek for the Long Flight," "Without a Mouth," "An Oar in the Old Water," "Sticks & Stones," and "Rising & Falling."
