Ted Solotaroff

Ted Solotaroff is a senior editor at Bantarn Books. He has served as editor of Commentary, the New York Herald-Tribune's Book Week, and the New York World Journal Tribune. In 1967 he founded the widely acclaimed literary magazine New American Review (later American Review), which he continued to edit until its final issue in 1977. Mr. Solotaroff recently edited "The Best American Short Stories 1978." He has taught at the University of Chicago, Yale, Columbia, the City College of New York, and the University of California at Berkeley. He is a recipient of the Irita Van Doren Award for his contribution to book publishing, and the Brandeis University Creative Arts Award for his work as an editor and critic.
