The
Reading Room offers the serious scholar a quiet, functional space for the
study of manucripts and other special collections materials. Study tables,
comfortable settees, and reading chairs are available, offering a variety
of options for study according to one's personal preferences. Data connections
and electrical outlets are available for laptop computer use. Four sets of
overhead lights, three with dimming capabilities, make many lighting options
available to users. Table lamps are positioned by the settees and chairs for
a more domestic experience. A Steinway grand affords scholars and researchers
the opportunity to play selections from the special collections as desired.
