NEW MUSIC PERFORMANCE SUPPLEMENT (NMPS) COLLECTION

Introduction

Collection Name: New Music Performance Supplement (NMPS) Collection

Collection Finding Aids

Provenance

The core of the New Music Performance (NMP) Collection was established as a cooperative project in 2001 by the Virginia Tidewater Consortium. It includes music scores, without parts, by composers from Diehn Composers Room events or organizations, such as the Society of Composers, Inc (SCI); the Southeastern Composers Competition and Symposium (SECCS); and the College Band Directors National Association (CBDNA).

The New Music Performance Supplement (NMPS) Collection is the archival portion of the New Music Performance (NMP) Collection. The NMPS Collection is comprised of music scores by composers who are not associated with a DCR event or an organization. Both the New Music Performance Supplement (NMPS) Collection and the New Music Performance (NMP) Collection are added to on a continuous basis.
