Provenance
The Southeastern Composers Competition and Symposium (SECCS) Collection
is the result of an event sponsored by the Diehn Composers Room, Old
Dominion University Libraries, through a grant from the Norfolk Foundation.
Sixty-three scores were submitted anonymously for the competition judged
by Adolphus Hailstork, of Norfolk State University, and Judith Shatin
of the University of Virginia. A concert of the six winning entries
was presented on June 24, 2000 in the Wilson G. Chandler Recital Hall
in the Diehn Fine and Performing Arts Center. The winning scores are
part of the DCR's New Music Performance Collection.
Access and Borrowing Materials
The collection is available for research in the Diehn
