All borrowers are personally responsible for the safety, proper use, and timely return of all library materials charged to them. Listening Library materials should be returned to that room and not placed in the book drop where they could be damaged or desensitized. Fines for overdue materials accrue at the rate of $.10 per item per day up to the cost of replacement of the item. Items on reserve are fined at a higher rate. The borrower is charged $25.00 for most lost or damaged recordings; other materials are priced from Acquisition Price Sources. Patrons may renew their own items at any available online catalog terminal in the library, by dial-in access to the online catalog from outside the library, or in person at the Listening Library. Renewals by phone are not accepted. Renewals by electronic mail are accepted.
