Where do I check out books?

Circulation Services is located at the front of the 2nd floor of Perry Library.

Services offered include:

  • Issuing of library cards for borrowing privileges
  • Checking out/checking in of library materials to borrowers
  • Course and non-course materials placed on Reserve
  • Placing a search request for items identified as available on system, not found on shelf
  • Recalling items checked out to other patrons (for ODU fcaulty, staff and students)

Loan Period:

  • ODU faculty/staff/graduate students: Maximum 75 items -- Semester loan period
  • ODU undergraduates: Maximum 75 items -- Standard loan period of 3 weeks
  • NON-ODU Borrowers: Maximum 6 items -- Standard loan period of 3 weeks
