Many datasets which can be integrated into GIS are available on
the Internet. Some can be acquired free-of-charge, while others
may require institutional membership or purchase. The list below
includes some of the main data clearinghouses in both the sciences
and social sciences. The library may be able to provide assistance
in locating and/or obtaining data sets for specific subjects. Inquiries
