GIS Software |
- A variety of ESRI software (see below) is available for use by faculty and graduate students in the library's Digital Services Center.
- The university has a site license for ESRI GIS products that are available on the campus network. To have these resources added to your Novell Application Launcher (NAL) send a request via the OCCS Site License Request form
Old Dominion University's site license with ESRI includes a variety of GIS software and related extensions:
- ArcGIS
Scalable system of software for geographic data creation, management, integration, analysis, and dissemination.- ARC/INFO
ARC/INFO software contains a comprehensive set of data entry and editing tools. Build vector databases using scanned raster imagery and convert data between numerous raster and vector formats.- ArcView
ArcView GIS makes it easy to create maps and add your own data to them. Using ArcView GIS software's visualization tools, you can access records from existing databases and display them on maps.
