HISTORY

The College of Engineering and Technology opened in 1963 and made its goal to challenge the status quo by creating a solid four-year school in Hampton Roads. The college strives to keep up with the ever-changing world by having first-rate academics, strong research initiatives, and staying committed to the communities in which they interact. The College of Engineering and Technology works hard to discover solutions to real world problems such as renewable energy, transportation for homeland security, and marine engineering. The National Science Foundation has also ranked it among the nation’s top 100.
