The Records of ODU President’s Office Files, William B. SpongBIOGRAPHYWilliam B. Spong served as Interim President of Old Dominion University from 1989-1990. He was selected for his successful tenure as Dean of the College of William and Mary's Marshall Wythe School of Law, as well as for his appreciation for Virginia's current political climate. SCOPE AND CONTENTSThis collection contains the material dated 1988 to 1990 accumulated during Spong’s tenure as University Interim President. It includes presidential letters, speeches, appointments, and annual reports; with deliberations about projects, proposals, and sports programs. Arranged chronologically.
